THE SHOWS ARE UPON US

It’s hard to believe but it’s true, the first show of the year has arrived and I need to deliver the pieces on Monday. Strictly speaking the show starts in May but they have a month long preview of selected work and mine has been selected, great news.

I have spent the last few weeks trying to get everything sorted and ready for what will be a busy summer. The Oxford Artweeks Preview show starts Tuesday at the Jam Factory in Oxford, I have a college exhibition through out June, I will be spending some time at Art in Action with the One Oak Project in July, and then in August I will be showing work at the Celebration of Craftmanship and Design at Cheltenham. Action packed stuff, what with a couple of holidays thrown in. Continue reading

As usual with any design I work on I always go back to the basics and the simplest form that is needed. In this case three shelves, this led to the simplicity of three horizontal lines,  to keep this shape and retain the simplicity of the form I have simply joined the lines together to create the basic shape.
